Nail Showdown Jessica vs. Rihanna

Nail art may have slowed down on the Fall runways, being replaced by creamy nudes and more classic shades of red, pink, and bordeaux lacquer instead, but it is alive and well on the red carpet. Just ask Jessica Biel. The Total Recall star has made funky tips a part of her world press tour for the film, sporting an ivory lacquer with a hot pink diagonal stripe across the top to the film’s premiere in London last night. Halfway across the world in Tokyo and never to be outdone, Rihanna made a strong statement with some finger flair of her own as the hip-hop star walked celebrity’s other red carpet, the airport terminal. Which look are you most compelled to challenge your manicurist with this weekend?

Glowing By JLo Launch 2012

Refreshing, comforting and delicate, Glowing opens with the citric goodness of bergamot, mandarin and cypress. The heart features a unique mash up of bright notes that include orange blossom, cassia flower and lily of the valley. The base consists of rich earthy and woody notes like vetiver, sandalwood, patchouli with hints of mashmere musk, sultan amber and a splash of vanilla. The perfume also has a violet ingredient which explains the lilac color of the perfume liquid.

Jennifer Lopez outdid herself once again with her latest offering from the Glow fragrance line. The scent is clean with slight creaminess and tartness to it which is something that we have never seen and experienced before from all the other J.Lo perfumes and colognes. It is being compared to “Cashmere Mist” due to its clean and warm accords. While we agree to that notion, Glowing is still a tad different because it has obvious hints of spiciness to it coupled with the traces of masculinity brought in by the patchouli note on the base. The sillage is awesome and lasts for about 10 hours. It’s a very gorgeous scent that will make you feel “extra” beautiful at every spritz.

The perfume is housed in a semi-transparent flacon that literally glows or lights up for 15 seconds after the nozzle has been pressed. Glowing by Jennifer Lopez is available as 30ml, 50ml and 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

There’s no stopping the Latina sensation when it comes to making her fragrance line grow bigger and better. Jennifer Lopez launched Glowing, the much anticipated installment to her Glow fragrance line in the spring of 2012.

Glowing by Jennifer Lopez pays tribute to the original Glow perfume which she created in 2002. According to Jennifer, Glowing is a “clean” fragrance that is also woody at the same time. She said that it’s unlike the original Glow but rather an “evolution” of it. “At the essence, it’s still natural, earthy, clean and real, but a little different side of that. It’s the woodsy side of it, which I think is kind of New York-y, darker and sexier,” explains Jennifer.

New Fragrance 2012: Girlfriend by Justin Beiber

Pop star Justin Bieber pays tribute to his fans with the launch of his new fragrance dubbed as “Girlfriend” on June 2012. It is the second perfume from the Justin Bieber fragrance collection that is described as “flirty, personal and inviting.”

It opens with a dazzling splash of mandarin and pear followed by an intense dose of blackberry and strawberry which represent a fleeting moment of “chance” in love. The heart is a “dream” made up of refreshing floral notes of pink freesia, orange blossom, jasmine and sugariness of apricot. The base notes delivers a “kiss” of sensuality and earthiness with vanilla orchid, musk and white amber.

Since Girlfriend by Justin Bieber is for his female fans, the perfume ad shows a montage of fan video clips and photos. The perfume is housed in a purple flacon surrounded by a pink and gold swirling overcap. It is available in 30ml, 50ml and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.
